My first post. hmmm.
I am really looking for the opportunity to document who I am and what I've experienced. 46 years old now. Crap.
They say everyone has a book in them. But I bet most of the time, that book is really boring. I'm pretty sure of it.
And you know what, Facebook proves it. I thought Facebook would be a great place to get my thoughts down and weave them together with my friends and aquaintences. But it's not. Not by a long shot. The problem is everyone sees your thoughts, but just little snippets wafting away down a stream of Facebook crap like Mafia Wars. I need something a little more substantial than that. And frankly, I would rather have strangers read some of my thoughts than family and friends.
So, who am I?
I am a man who is finally reaching for some kind of perfection in life. Some discipline. Some Peace and Zen. And it has been a long time coming. I want my life to have some kind of meaning.
I've been reading a lot of books about history lately. Many of them from David McCullough. And you know what? People used to write a lot. Manually. And with really great descriptive thoughts. They documented their lives. And they were colorful and full. And mine is too, if only I would just start writing. So, it starts today. My very first post.
Thoughts for next post... New Year's resolutions!
